The Mexican Federation of University Women (FEMU) is a national organization of academic women that is part of the International Federation of University Women, the first organization of university women in the world, founded since 1919 with pacifist purposes. Our organization has been working for the development of women as a fundamental element to achieve the comprehensive development of people.

In this sense, FEMU organizes teaching, research and cultural dissemination activities through courses, publications of our research on the situation of women in Mexico, holding International and National Congresses, Seminars and programs in the mass media.

GWI is an international non-profit organization of university women, founded in 1919 as the International Federation of University Women during post-war Europe, by women who believed in the importance of collective work for peace, international understanding and friendship.
